Under the agreement, the governments of the 3 central localities will take measures to encourage the return of domestic and international visitors, and ensure the safety for them in their localities amid the virus crisis.

More preferential policies for travellers, tour operators and tourism service providers in the three localities will be issued. Special attention will be paid to developing new and special tourism products, and tour packages to Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam, as well as conducting tourism marketing campaigns in the three localities.

Also on the same day, the 'Three Localities - One Destination' tourism stimulus programme was launched.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh highlighted the links among the three central localities to support the tourism sector during the Covid-19 outbreak and in the post-Covid-19 age.

He also underscored the importance of offering great deals and more benefits on the 'Three Localities - One Destination' tourism stimulus programme in an effort to increase domestic and international visitor arrivals in their localities.
